The Farr Plunger has solved the pump problems we have had with flow restriction sand. We have run 12 plungers in the last year without any failures. No sticking of plungers. No grooving of plungers. No packing off of traveling valve due to sand. The unique funnel type design of the plunger top, allows the sand to fall into the plunger away from the barrel I.D. The Farr Plunger has proven itself in the Oilfield of South Central Oklahoma. These wells are approximately 6500' deep. These wells make a lot of gas, give up a lot of sand and are pumped very hard! The pumping unit stroke lengths run from 86" stroke to 168" stroke. The Farr Plunger has performed well in these tough conditions. Dear Muth Pump, In January 2008 Spindletop had 2 wells they could not get the rig off of before they would sand up. The Hynes #25 had a ring plunger, we converted it to a Farr plunger. & she's still pumping. The Hynes #19 had a PA plunger, we converted it to a Farr plgr., & she's still pumping also. Metal plgrs. did not work in these wells either. The Farr plunger kicked @%## in this case. Thanks, Ricky Huey
Dear Muth Pump, Just wanted to let you know we (ENERVEST) have started using the Farr plunger in our CBM field (Connelsville PA) and have had extremely good results. Wells that required rig work almost every 2 weeks consistently, have been running for a couple months straight without any issues.
